Soultz-sous-Forets geothermal project

The data in this demo project has been used by kind permission of The European Hot Dry Rock Project (HDR).

This demo uses microseismic location data without waveforms. It is designed to give you an overview of the location visualiser. The data is from hydraulic fracturing of a granite geothermal reservoir in France, performed at depths of over 3 kms. The microseismic events imaged the creation of the fracture.

Mine-by tunnel

The data in this demo project has been used by kind permission of Atomic Energy Canada Ltd.

This demo uses microseismic data with waveforms. It is designed to give you an overview of the waveform visualiser using instrument views. The data is from AECL’s Mineby Experiment.

Imperial true triaxial experiment

The data in this demo project comes from a laboratory experiment at Imperial College London for the EC-funded SAFETI project.

This demo uses acoustic emission (AE) location data without waveforms for the complete data set. Source mechanisms have been determined for 26 events. The AE imaged the creation of fractures that grew as uniaxial stress was increased. The events were compared with model data.
